HONEY WHOLE WHEAT BREAD So fluffy and light and one slice will fill your growing boys right up! Here is my recipe using @bobsredmill wheat flour+Lehi roller mills TURKEY-bread flour ps I have 10% and free shipping with code BRITTANYđđźââď¸
This is a doubled batch! Which will make 4 loaves.( so if you want two....cut it all in half;)
4 C. Hotish Water
2 T. yeast
1 C. Honey
2/3 cup Vegetable oil
2 tsp. Salt
4 C. Wheat flour, whole-grain (Measure AFTER if Freshly grinding in vitamix)
8-9 cups Bread flour (must be bread flour. Google it ;)
:::Directions:::
Step 1 Dissolve yeast in warm water+honey. Wait 5 min, then mix in wheat flour, salt, and vegetable oil. Work bread flour in gradually. Knead in mixer with dough hook 5 min then continue on floured surface for another 5. When dough is smooth and elastic, place it in 1-2 well oiled bowls. Turn it several times in the bowl to coat with oil+cover with a damp cloth or plastic wrap. Let rise in a warm place until doubled in bulk, about 45 minutes. ( I like to place in hot garage or near something simmering in the crock pot OR in the oven turned off along side a pot of boiling water (more in instagram-stories under honey whole wheat)
Step 2 Punch down the dough. Shape into four loaves, and place into well greased 9 x 5 inch loaf pans. Allow to rise until dough is 1 to 1 1/2 inches above pans. â¨â¨â¨about 30 minutes for this second rise.
Step 3 Bake at 375° for 25 min ( a bit longer if using all purpose flour like 2-3 min) top with fresh salty butter + @maryiromney âs fresh strawberry jam đđđ§ try your hardest to let them rest a good 5 minutes until you cut into them.. and only....ONLY with a serrated knife-thats the one that looks like a bumpy crocodile..
